AI at a crossroads: securing the sovereign future of AI in Europe
Bruno Lecointe
Group VP Business Support HPC AI & Quantum,Eviden

As AI evolves at an unprecedented pace, Europe faces crucial decisions. Energy consumption, supply chain dependencies, AI and data regulations are creating new challenges, but also opportunities. How can we ensure that AI innovation is in line with European values, economic interests and digital sovereignty?

In this keynote, Eviden will explore the convergence of AI and high-performance computing (HPC), the need for a sovereign, secure and energy-efficient AI infrastructure, and why AI sovereignty is essential for Europe's leadership in the global digital economy. With trusted European supply chains, next-generation AI-HPC integration and sustainable computing solutions, we must act now to shape a future where Europe is not just a consumer of AI technology, but a global leader in AI development, deployment and governance. This also means empowering the centres hosting the AI infrastructure, helping them to expand industrial applications and drive wider adoption of AI, ensuring that these resources are fully exploited for economic and scientific impact.
